Finnish industrial and marine engineering firm Wärtsilä was named in national reporting as a target of the “LV” ransomware crime brand in late July 2022, alongside the Finnish News Agency STT, with police treating related STT impacts as a suspected data-system crime in open press. Threat-intelligence roundups in the same timeframe described LV marketing a very large alleged data leak tied to Wärtsilä; treat precise exfiltration inventories as partly actor-marketed.
