2026 Tata Electronics — World Leaks 630GB leak; iPhone 18 Pro supplier list, drop-test photos & Tesla trade secrets alleged

On June 22, 2026 Reuters and Economic Times reported that Tata Electronics confirmed a cybersecurity incident detected a few weeks earlier on some of its systems, deploying response protocols with no operational impact across businesses. Security researchers and Indian researcher Rajshekhar Rajaharia told Reuters that the World Leaks extortion group (linked to prior Nike marketing) published more than 200,000 files totaling over 630GB on its dark-web site. Purported Apple contents include folders titled com.apple.factorydata, a 52-page iPhone circuit-board quality inspection document, and 181 Apple-tagged files/folders (33 referencing Hosur, Tamil Nadu). By June 29, 2026 Reuters reported additional files mapping hundreds of iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max components to named suppliers—including at least six explicit supplier-mapping documents for main-board chips, battery parts, and cameras—and drop-test photographs from Tata plants dated early 2026 showing a slab-shaped grey handset with triple rear cameras and Apple logo, with Apple confidential watermarks and internal iPhone 18 Pro codenames. Tesla-related contents reviewed by Rajaharia for Reuters include a World Leaks folder labelled "NV36 Chargeport Controller - North America"—a purported reference to parts for an upgraded Tesla Model Y SUV; a 2023 purported Tesla document marked TRADE SECRET with Project Highland drawings (Tesla's publicly known internal codename for the revamped Model 3 sedan); manufacturing specifications; and a May 2025 assembly document returned in Tesla keyword searches alongside other production files. Multiple published files carried footers stating information is confidential, proprietary, and a trade secret of Tesla Inc. The archive also includes documents tied to TSMC and Qualcomm per Reuters. Industry sources cited by Reuters say Tata also manufactures components for Tesla; Tesla did not respond to comment requests. Apple is investigating with full analysis underway and working with Tata on long-term security measures; Tata restricted internal access to sensitive systems and hired a global forensic consultant.
