Root cause
A forum user calling themselves Maximus_9 claimed on October 16, 2026 to hold records on 7 million Santander México customers, and the dump was re-posted with a new link on November 5. A dataset of the same size linked to santander.com.mx was posted on Nulled by a different user in June 2023, so this may be old data recirculating. Santander has made no statement; in 2024 it said Mexican customers were not affected by that year's third-party database breach.
