Data compromised
About 3,800 customer account numbers (names not leaked, the firm said). 35,255 current/former employees and contractors: names, employee IDs, emails, mobiles and passwords (described as encrypted in Seoul Economic Daily). Resident-registration, passport and licence numbers not leaked. No malware or service outage, the firm said. Combined people count 39,055.

Root cause
Unauthorised external access on 4 and 5 November 2026 to a mobile-web phone-authentication login and to groupware (mi-global). Routes blocked after suspicious external IPs. Reported to FSC, FSS and PIPC. Separate from the October Mirae Asset Life Insurance incident.
