Verified breach — April–July 2026. Alberta's List of Electors for approximately 2.9 million people was improperly redistributed through a searchable database tied to the Centurion Project separatist-linked website. Elections Alberta confirmed the unauthorized use of official voter-list data, opened investigations with the RCMP, and issued cease-and-desist notices. Follow-up reporting said 568 people accessed the database—including 23 recipients who allegedly received full-list copies—before court-ordered shutdown. The Alberta Information and Privacy Commissioner issued a statement April 30, 2026; proposed class-action litigation followed, with July 6, 2026 reporting that a lawsuit naming Centurion Project organizers sought damages on behalf of affected Albertans. Elections Alberta staff are among the affected electors.
