Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston, Wisconsin disclosed an April 2026 cyberattack that resulted in encrypted files on its network. HIPAA Journal reported that the attack caused limited temporary interruptions to certain computer systems and affected phone systems.
Clinical teams worked under downtime procedures while third-party partners helped investigate and restore systems. At the time of reporting, Mile Bluff said it was too early to determine whether patient data had been affected.
