JC Resorts: January File Theft Exposes 5,942 People

JC Resorts disclosed that an unauthorized actor viewed and copied certain files from its computer network on January 19, 2026. The hospitality company filed regulatory notices on April 28, 2026, and public summaries cited 5,942 affected individuals nationwide.

The exposed information was described as names and Social Security numbers. JC Resorts offered affected individuals 24 months of Experian IdentityWorks credit monitoring and identity protection services.
