Root cause
A technical issue at the end of the online auto insurance quoting process. An unauthorised third party used personal information obtained from other sources to generate auto insurance quotes and, as part of that process, may have acquired some individuals’ data between June 30 and August 20, 2026. The company says its internal systems and customer databases were not accessed.
