ShinyHunters claimed responsibility and marketed roughly 2.5 million records containing PII and internal corporate data after failed ransom negotiations, with Cybernews and specialist trackers reporting the leak in April–May 2026. The company’s public incident page stated limited data was accessed while criminal forums advertised a far larger archive—BreachHistory aligns the headline count with the actor claim pending regulatory denominators.
