The July 15 office theft of four unencrypted desktop computers resulted in the exposure of patient information. Approximately four million patients who were seen by Advocate Medical Group physicians between the early 1990s and July of 2013 were affected. Names, Social Security numbers, addresses, and dates of birth were exposed.
