Verified company notice — Advantest Corporation’s October 6, 2026 individual data-breach notification (California AG filing, reported by BleepingComputer Oct 7) confirms that the February 2026 ransomware incident included extraction of personally identifiable information from company servers. The February 15 intrusion and ransomware deployment were previously disclosed; at that time Advantest could not determine whether customer or employee data was impacted. The Oct 6 letter states PII belonging to notice recipients was among extracted data, listing contact information, date of birth, Social Security numbers, national ID numbers, driver’s licenses, passport numbers, medical information, financial information, and other ID numbers. Advantest offers 18-month Kroll identity monitoring (enrollment deadline cited as Jan 4, 2027) and says it has no information the data has been publicly leaked or misused.
